Take part in the ADFC Cycling Climate Test 2024 by November 30

Cyclists can once again rate the bicycle friendliness of cities and municipalities. The Federal City of Bonn is calling on Bonn's citizens to take part in the bicycle climate test organized by the German Cyclists' Federation (ADFC) and the Federal Ministry of Transport until November 30.

“The bicycle climate test is a good opportunity to get a picture of the mood of cyclists in Bonn. Even though we have already achieved numerous improvements in recent years, the results of the survey can help us to make cycling in Bonn even safer and more attractive,” says Lord Mayor Katja Dörner. The city is therefore asking all residents to take a few minutes to complete the survey at  www.fkt.adfc.de (opens in a new tab).

In the nationwide Bicycle Climate Test 2022 conducted by the German Cyclists' Federation (ADFC) and the Federal Ministry of Transport, the federal city of Bonn took first place in the “Best Development” category (catch-up) for large cities with between 200,000 and 500,000 inhabitants. Last year, Bonn's commitment to expanding and strengthening cycling as part of the mobility transition was recognized.

The survey is dependent on a high level of participation for the results to be meaningful. It is therefore important to reach a broad spectrum of participants with the ADFC Cycling Climate Test. This is why the Federal City of Bonn supports the survey. The most bicycle-friendly cities and municipalities in six size categories will receive awards at the Federal Ministry of Transport in Berlin in spring 2025.
