Better together: The United Nations commitment to peace and justice in the world

The German United Nations Association has recently published a children's book in which the work of the United Nations for global peace and justice is presented in a child-friendly manner. Many short stories describe how interconnected the world is, what stumbling blocks there are, but also how problems can be solved by working together and doing good. The children's book is aimed primarily at young people between the ages of eight and twelve.

Exclusive edition for the German United Nations Association.

The book is funded by the Federal Foreign Office.

Excerpt from the blurb:

In our world, many things are interwoven we can travel to distant countries, eat bananas grown in Ecuador and the raw materials for our cell phones come from Africa. Interconnectedness has many advantages, but also brings problems. These do not stop at borders and no country can solve them alone. That is why almost every country in the world has joined forces in the United Nations to address the most pressing issues. In this book, you will find out what the UN does to secure peace, fight hunger and poverty and ensure greater justice. Because: Only together can this succeed!

Please note that the edition is only available in German at this time.
