Admist the southern foothills of the Siebengebirge lies Bad Honnef, the ´Rhenish Riviera`, with its idyllic wine village of Rhöndorf. The Adenauer House, the former private home of Germany´s first Federal Chancellor Konrad Adenauer, is also well worth a visit. Another highlight is Grafenwerth Island with its harbour and magnificent view of the legendary Drachenfels (´Dragon´s Rock`) and Rolandsbogen (´Roland´s Arch`).

The Arp Museum is the only museum worldwide with its own direct connection to the railway network. It combines the neo-classical design of the old railway station built in 1856 with the new building designed by star architect Richard Meier. It presents pioneers of modern art such as Hans Arp und other avantgardist artists of the 20th century.

The Ahr Valley is also known as the „valley of the red grape“. Visitors await tradition-steeped spa towns, such as Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler and a rich historical heritage. Other highlights include the Dokumentationsstätte Regierungsbunker (Government Bunker Documentation Site) and the Römervilla, a museum in the idyllic red wine town in Ahrweiler, built on ruins of a Roman villa. The excursion can also be combined with a visit to a winery or the Bad Neuenahr Casino.

2011 the ´Willy Brandt Forum` (former Federal Chancellor) was opened in the center of the old town in Unkel. The heart of the museum is the politician´s study, which was reconstructed true to the original. In addition, there are many other exhibits that make Willy Brandt´s life and work tangible.

Augustusburg Palace is today considered the most important palace in the Rhineland and was added to the list of UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage Sites together with Falkenlust hunting lodge and its spacious parklands. Brühl is the birthplace of Max Ernst, in whose honor the town has founded the only museum worldwide dedicated to his work. The Max Ernst Museum is devoted to Surrealism and Dadaism.
Phantasialand is one of Europe's largest leisure and amusement parks and offers many attractions for the entire family.
