Job Specification
The successful candidate will be a part of the international ICLEI World Secretariat teambased in Bonn, Germany and will be placed within the Innovative Finance team. Tasks:Main responsibilities:• Conduct thorough research to identify potential funding sources. • Assist in the preparation and drafting of proposals, reports, and other documents for potential donors and partners. Ensure that submissions align with donor guidelines and organizational objectives.• Assist in the management of the Transformative Actions Program (TAP) and its portfolio of projects designed for subnational governments, supporting initiatives that seek both financial assistance and expertise to develop comprehensive project concepts andsecure funding. • Assist in managing relationships with existing and potential partners, including communication and engagement efforts. Help track progress, send updates, and ensure timely follow-up to strengthen stakeholder relationships.Additional tasks:• Assist the Head of the Team in the development and refinement of strategic initiatives, providing research, analysis, and recommendations to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Contribute to the operationalization of strategies by coordinating withrelevant stakeholders and tracking progress.• Provide support to the Head of the Team on a variety of ad hoc tasks, including the execution of new initiatives, project coordination, and ensuring that key activities are completed on time. Help in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other materialsas needed to facilitate decision-making and smooth operational flow.
Professional Knowledge and Language Skills
Main requirements:• A master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Public Policy, International Relations, or similar).• At least 1 year of professional experience in a similar role, preferably in strategy development, project management, or fundraising.• Experience supporting senior leadership or teams in executing strategic initiatives is highly desirable.• Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and make informed recommendations.• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.• Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of additional languages is an asset.Terms and conditions:• The position will be available as of 01. June 2025.
