International Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn

In honor of Ludwig van Beethoven, the generously-endowed International Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn is held in his birthplace, with young pianists from all over the world taking part.

Caleb Borick from the USA is the winner of the International Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn (ITBCB) 2023, beating second-placed Lovre Marušić from Croatia and third-placed Zhouhui Shen from China in the final. Borick impressed with his interpretation of Ludwig van Beethoven's Third Piano Concerto, accompanied by the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn under the direction of Dirk Kaftan. All finalists can look forward to prize money of €50,000 (1st place), €25,000 (2nd place) and €10,000 (3rd place) as well as concert engagements, including at the Beethovenfest Bonn.

The International Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn was presented by the Beethovenfest Bonn. 

The next competition will take place from December 3 to 13, 2025.
