AUSGEZEICHNET is an exhibition format conceived jointly with the Stiftung Kunstfonds. Each autumn, former Kunstfonds scholarship holders exhibit their work at the Kunstmuseum Bonn. In the eighth edition of Ausgezeichnet, the jury chose Simon Pfeffel.

Simon Pfeffel (* 1985) is a performance artist. In his performances, random passers-by become actors in humorous situations based on a public sense of community. Whether attached to rolling, tilting or swinging objects or as a service provider carrying museum visitors across the grounds, Simon Pfeffel makes people laugh and interact. He knows how to place himself in situations that, with their bizarre appearance, inevitably interrupt the daily routine around him and rob those present of their anonymous distance by sharing this experience.
