It now has more than 100 members from all over Germany as well as six advisory board institutions - including the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI), the Federal Armed Forces Cyber and Information Space Command and the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection (BfDI). In spring 2024, a delegation of experts and company representatives from Bonn's cybersecurity sector traveled to Estonia together with other industry representatives from NRW. The trip was organized under the leadership of NRW Global Business and the Bonn/Rhine-Sieg Chamber of Industry and Commerce and on the initiative of the Cyber Security Cluster Bonn e.V. In fall 2023, various events were held in cooperation with companies and the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology (FIT). A European-Japan Conference was held in October, at which location marketing had the opportunity to present Bonn as a business location with a focus on IT and cyber security. The Cyber Security Cluster Bonn e.V. also presented its strengths and focal points. Also in October, a Japanese delegation of business representatives led by the governor of the Nagano region traveled to the Bonn region to open a satellite office at Fraunhofer FIT. Representatives of the City of Bonn and Mayor Nicole Unterseh were invited and International Location Marketing was asked to present Bonn as a business location in general and with a focus on the digital economy and cyber security. 

In September 2023, Location Marketing joined forces with the Cyber Security Cluster Bonn e.V. to exhibit at the Internet Security Days, a renowned cybersecurity industry event, in order to raise awareness of Bonn as a location within the industry and highlight the strengths of the location. 

The Federal City of Bonn will once again present itself at the international trade fair for real estate and investment “Expo Real” in Munich in 2023. The presentation will be realized together with KölnBusiness and the Cologne/Bonn Region e.V. under the brand Cologne/Bonn Region with a new stand concept. 

The potential of the city of Bonn and the region for real estate investments will be promoted at Europe's leading trade fair for the real estate industry. At the same time, the stand offers co-exhibiting companies an attractive platform for presentation and networking.

Regular participation in real estate industry events and visits to trade fairs such as the Polis Convention in Düsseldorf also contribute to regional business marketing and networking with key players.
