City of Bonn Honors Bonn Capitals Successes at Old Town Hall

Mayor Katja Dörner welcomed the Bonn Capitals Women's Softball Team and the Bonn Capitals Men's Baseball Team to the Old Town Hall on Friday, December 13, 2024. The teams signed the guest book of the City of Bonn for their achievements in 2024.

The Capitals men's and women's teams signed the City of Bonn's guest book during a reception at the Old Town Hall hosted by Mayor Katja Dörner (front, 4th from right).

The Bonn Capitals women's softball team finished runner-up in 2024 and won the German Cup. The men's team won the German Baseball Championship for the third time in the club's history.

Mayor Dörner paid tribute to the club's work: "I would like to congratulate the Bonn Capitals on these outstanding achievements, which show the high level of the club. In 35 years, the Capitals have not only shaped the history of baseball in Bonn but have also become one of the most important addresses for baseball and softball in Germany".

Bonn is a key location for baseball and softball in Germany and Europe

With nearly 500 members and 16 teams in various age and performance categories, the Bonn Capitals are now one of the largest baseball and softball clubs in Europe. The club is celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2024.
