Telephone hotline for notifiable events

From Monday, October 12, 2020, the City of Bonn will set up a telephone hotline for notifiable events during the Corona Pandemic. The number is 0228 - 77 50 90 and is manned Monday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Since October 1, 2020, the Corona Protection Ordinance of North Rhine-Westphalia requires that private events must be reported to the local regulatory authorities if they take place with more than 50 people in closed rooms or in public places. Notification of the event should be received by the public order office of the city of Bonn at least three working days before the event begins. This regulation applies to private celebrations with more than 50 participants on outstanding occasions in public space, rented rooms, guest rooms or places of assembly. Anniversaries, wedding, baptism, round birthday or graduation celebrations are considered admissible events. Furthermore, a maximum limit of 150 participants applies.

On  www.bonn.de/coronavirus an online form is available since end of past week, which the organizers of private celebrations can fill out and send together with the guest lists of the city administration. Alternatively, the form  can also be downloaded and filled out and sent to the e-mail address  33-11bonnde.

The information provided in the form regarding the type of celebration (to verify the outstanding event) will be checked. Random checks are currently being carried out to determine whether, for example, a round birthday is actually present. In addition, the number of guests will be checked according to the attached guest list.

By Tuesday, October 6, a total of about 75 events have been reported to the city administration via this form system - graduation ceremonies, weddings, round birthdays and funeral ceremonies/funerals. In addition, a large number of inquiries have been received by the public order authority - by telephone and e-mail.
