Coronavirus: Bonn-Information will reopen on 20 May

In the course of the corona loosening that has now taken place and in compliance with measures for hygiene and spacing, the Bonn Information Centre, Windeckstraße 1, will reopen in the course of Wednesday, 20 May 2020.

The Tourist Information is open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sundays and public holidays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Personal consultation is also possible again. The implementation of a specially developed hygiene plan for the protection of visitors and staff was completed at the beginning of the week. A new path concept is to ensure the necessary distance regulations.

The Bonn Information Office will probably be able to offer guided tours again from mid-June. The popular double-decker bus, with an open top of course in good weather, will resume its services on Ascension Day. For the protection of passengers, the bus will only run from Thursday, May 21, 2020, from Wednesday to Sunday with a limited number of participants. Masks are compulsory on the bus. Current figures

As of Tuesday, May 19, 2020, the Health Department of the City of Bonn lists 20 Bonn citizens who are acutely ill with Covid-19 (minus 1 compared to the previous day). Since 29 February, a total of 696 persons (plus 1 compared to the previous day) have tested positive for the coronavirus. 670 people (plus 2 compared to the previous day) have recovered in the meantime, 6 have died as a result of coronavirus infection (unchanged).

In the past seven days, 8 new infections have been registered in Bonn; this corresponds to 2.42 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants. With the emergency mechanism introduced by the Federal Government and the Länder against increasing infection rates of 50 new infection cases per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days, the limit for the Federal City of Bonn with more than 330,000 inhabitants and residents is 165 cases.

At the moment, 27 people from Bonn, the surrounding area and abroad who have fallen ill with Covid-19 (minus 1 compared to the previous day) are in Bonn's hospitals. 15 of them are cared for in normal wards, 12 are in intensive care units, 6 of them need to be ventilated.
