Bonn officially reaches incidence level 1 on June 20

Bonn is officially in Corona incidence level 1 as of Sunday, June 20, 2021, when further relaxations and openings will apply. With a few exceptions, the general outdoor mask requirement will be lifted from Monday, June 21. That's because the state's updated Corona Protection Ordinance goes into effect then.

On Friday, June 18, the 7-day incidence is 18.5 - below the 35 mark for the fifth consecutive working day. This was officially stated by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. In the past seven days, a total of 61 laboratory-confirmed new Covid 19 infections have been reported to the health department.

Overview of the regulations

Contact restrictions have been relaxed again as of June 20. For example, persons from up to 5 households may meet without person restrictions (plus immunized persons from additional households); 100 persons with no limit on households with negative test evidence (plus immunized persons); when meeting only immunized persons, the number of persons or households is not limited

Outdoor swimming pools may be visited without negative test; since the number of people is limited, an appointment must be booked in advance ( www.bonn.de/baeder). Museums, etc. may open without booking an appointment (with mask). A test is no longer required to visit indoor restaurants. In retail, other than basic services, only one person is limited to ten square meters of retail space, even beyond 800 square meters of retail space.

Contact sports outside and inside is allowed up to 100 people. Outside over 1,000 spectators, max. 33 percent of capacity; inside up to 1,000 spectators with testing, max. 33 percent of capacity, each with seating plan, seating arrangement based on shaft board pattern. Outdoor and indoor events, theater, opera, movie theaters with up to 1,000 spectators with test or minimum spacing between seats are permitted, as are private events outside with up to 250 guests, inside with up to 100 guests with test. Explanation of the mask obligation

As of Monday, June 21, the general mask requirement outdoors will be lifted. It will only apply where there is a high density of people in a confined space, such as in queues and at ticket offices, stands and counters, and at large events with more than 1,000 people outside the seating and standing area.

Likewise, the mask requirement is waived outdoors on school grounds and in the immediate vicinity. For example, students no longer have to wear masks in the playground or on sports fields. In the school building and in the classroom the mask obligation remains until the summer vacations.

At outdoor bus and train stops, masks no longer need to be worn. At underground stops and in station buildings, however, they do.

In closed rooms, the mask obligation remains in principle.
