Appeal to nursing staff

The city is pleased with the high vaccination rate among its staff in the three senior citizen facilities. Bonn's head of health, Margarete Heidler, is taking this as an opportunity to make an appeal to the nursing staff in the homes for the elderly: "Please get vaccinated against the coronavirus for your own protection, but also for the protection of the people you care for or work with."

Vaccination information letter

During the week beginning Monday, January 18, 2021, there will be a letter from the state and city to all people over the age of 80 in Bonn that will provide information about vaccination and how to get it. The vaccination center at the World Conference Center Bonn is expected to begin operations in early February. As announced by the state of NRW, it will be possible to make appointments by phone or online starting Monday, January 25, 2021.

The coordination office at the vaccination center is expected to manage the logistics for all vaccinations in Bonn from January 18. Vaccinations in hospitals are also expected to begin on that date. Operations at the vaccination center for citizens over 80 years of age are expected to begin in early February.
