All set for a new federal government: A letter of intent signed in Bonn on January 24, 2025 sets out the negotiations for a future supplementary agreement to the Berlin/Bonn Act.

The City of Bonn is entering into an annual partnership with the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) for the year 2025, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary in April with a conference lasting several days in Bonn. 

The City of Bonn's Economic Development Department has presented its focus topics for the new year. Seven topics of a strategic nature, such as securing commercial space and skilled workers or achieving a sustainable economy are the focus.

The allocation of publicly funded childcare places in daycare centers for the next kindergarten year 2025/2026 starts in February.

With a data protection-compliant chatbot based on artificial intelligence, the city of Bonn is expanding its online information offering, especially on municipal services. An AI-supported assistant is now available on the city's website www.bonn.de.

The first semester of 2025 begins on Monday, February 3. The Adult Education Center (VHS) offers more than 1,300 courses from all subject areas. This time, the focus is on the topic of resilience, which will be examined from various perspectives in over 80 courses.

To mark World Education Day, the City of Bonn announced a special offer for all children and families in Bonn from 2025: Bonn is the first and only German municipality to date to make Polylino accessible to all young residents. 

The immersive exhibition Save Land was developed in cooperation with the UNCCD-G20 Global Land Initiative and is on at Bonn’s Federal Art and Exhibition Hall until 1 June 2025.
