Fair Trade Week

This year, the City of Bonn will once again be present at the Fair Trade Week: From September 9 to 26, 2020, the recognized Fair Trade Town and Bio City of Bonn will again offer a colorful program around fair trade and sustainable consumption.

In Bonn's Fair Trade Week program booklet this year, 37 events invite you to get to know fair trade, taste fair products and learn more about the background of the initiative. From English lectures on fair-trade bananas from Colombia, educational walks, smartphones and eco-fair fashion to fair wine tastings, fair cooking for children, style advice in fair fashion stores, ‘fair worship’ and much more - there is something for everyone! Thanks to the commitment of many people in Bonn, a wide range of interesting and informative events has again been organized this year.

Bonn - All around sustainable 2020 (digital)

As part of this year's Fair Week, the city of Bonn itself is offering the three-part digital event series "Bonn - Rundum Nachhaltig 2020". The Fair Trade Town and Bio-City would like to bring together the topics Fair, Bio and Regional for the first time and present the many initiatives and offers that promote environmentally conscious and fair consumption in Bonn.

On three evenings, everyone can get information and inspiration free of charge. In the rounds of talks with experts on fair and sustainable products, on alternative, regional business concepts as well as on topics concerning nature in our livable and lovable city of Bonn, insights will be provided that one would normally not gain. Parallel to this, there will be join-in activities that convey interesting facts in a practical and entertaining manner, and each of the three events will also have a special surprise in store as a conclusion of the evening.
